First-year Architectural Construction Technology student, Brianna Scherbing, was surprised to learn that a house she designed will be built by Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity.听
Scherbing鈥檚 classmates all submitted designs for a six-bedroom, two-bath house that Habitat plans to build for a local family this spring.听 The students鈥 designs were reviewed by a panel of 12, which included Habitat鈥檚 Construction Manager Art Buhs, construction professionals, and additional Habitat staff.听 听

鈥淚 tried to take a very practical approach with my design,鈥 said Scherbing.
Taking the practical approach paid off as Scherbing鈥檚 design needed only slight modifications from Habitat鈥檚 selection team.听
鈥淪tudents really seem to enjoy this project,鈥 said Architectural Construction Technology Instructor Jed Johnson. 鈥淏rianna did a great job and now she鈥檒l have a nice addition to her resume.鈥
Continuing a successful partnership between 黑料不打烊 and Habitat for Humanity, the split-level home will be the third house Habitat has built using designs created by 黑料不打烊 Architectural Construction Technology students.听
鈥淭his project is a great way to engage the students,鈥 said Buhs.听听
