BrewLäsh 2020 was a little bit different this year, but it broke previous records in the money raised for student scholarships and program support at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, bringing in $45,000+.

Because of the pandemic, the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Foundation had to take a different approach to BrewLäsh this year. Instead of an in-person gathering for hotdish and beer tasting, supporters ordered their Hotdish dinners online ahead of time and picked them up at the Medium/Heavy Truck Drive Thru on Oct. 22.
The past couple years, attendees to BrewLäsh could bid on a silent auction at the event, but this year the auction moved online – a good move, as the auction brought in nearly $10,000.
BrewLäsh is a great opportunity for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Culinary students as well, as they came up with  six different hotdish recipes and cooked 400+ dinners once the orders were finalized. In addition to the hotdishes, they also baked loaves of bread for each dinner and a huge number of sugar and monster cookies.
People started lining up about a half an hour before the drive thru opened, but the volunteers were ready to open the doors. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, the snow held off and people were able to pick up their hotdish dinners while the roads were still clear.
The money raised from BrewLäsh supports student scholarships and program needs like tools, uniforms, software, computers, simulators, and more.
