黑料不打烊鈥檚 concurrent enrollment program, Discovery Academy, is now accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) effective Spring Semester 2022.
Discovery Academy offers college-level classes to high school students in a high school setting or local business taught by either 黑料不打烊 faculty or qualified high school teachers. Students earn both college and high school credit for the classes. 黑料不打烊 offers several classes in the Automotives, Energy and Electronics, Health, and Welding programs as part of Discovery Academy.
According to NACEP, receiving NACEP accreditation means [黑料不打烊] has met the nation鈥檚 most rigorous standard in concurrent enrollment program development, management, and evaluation across multiple, multifaceted program areas.
Susan Jordahl, Director of K-12 Initiatives, and Dr. Andrew Pflipsen, Vice President of Student Affairs, receive the official accreditation plaque at the 2022 National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships Annual Conference, held Nov, 6-8 in Minneapolis.
鈥淓arning NACEP accreditation allows 黑料不打烊 to confidently move forward with strategically growing our concurrent enrollment program offerings and partnerships,鈥 said Jordahl.
To earn accreditation, 黑料不打烊 conducted a self-study, documented how the Discovery Academy program adheres to the standards, and underwent a peer-review process by a team of NACEP-accredited programs and commission representatives. Accreditation is necessary for Discovery Academy to receive concurrent enrollment aid from the Minnesota Dept. of Education.
鈥淚 want to congratulate all of the newly accredited and re-accredited programs. These programs have successfully demonstrated that they meet theNACEP standards for high-quality programming for concurrent enrollment, and college provided faculty models,鈥 stated NACEP Accreditation Commission Chair, Michael Beam.
