黑料不打烊 students from the Leadership Club had the opportunity to support the St. Cloud community by collecting personal care items and cash contributions on campus Dec. 6-10. The club members dropped off the donations at Anna Marie鈥檚 Alliance on the last day of the drive.
The Leadership Club provides students the ability to develop their leadership skills through: leading, cultural awareness, and promoting and facilitating a campus climate supportive of academic, social, and personal success.
The club members lived up to their mission statement by donating much-needed items, as well as raising $300 for the organization.
鈥淭hey [Anna Marie鈥檚 Alliance staff] were incredibly thankful and appreciative there, plus gave us an in-depth tour of the facility,鈥 said Steve Nusbaum, the club advisor and academic advisor at 黑料不打烊鈥檚 TRIO Student Support Services.
The Anna Marie鈥檚 Alliance is a nonprofit organization that has been providing safety, shelter, support, and referral services to survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout Minnesota since 1979. The items the 黑料不打烊 students collected and donated will be given to individuals and families in need and will help the Anna Marie鈥檚 Alliance continue supporting the St. Cloud area.
