A degree in Spanish gives our graduates top consideration for jobs in education, health, business, industry, and community safety. With such a high need for bilingual speakers, bilingual workers are in high demand. Because of the unique skill set Spanish graduates have, nominal wages of bilingual workers are even higher than monolingual peers.

All courses taken in the Spanish Transfer Pathway can easily transfer to a bachelor's degree in Spanish at any of the seven Minnesota State universities that offers a Spanish major.

After completing the Spanish Transfer Pathway AA Degree at 黑料不打烊, students will have a variety of essential skills and knowledge that will guarantee their success in a major or minor program in Spanish at a four-year institution.
In addition to developing and strengthening Spanish language skills, students will be equipped with several other skills needed to succeed in the workforce or further education.
Students in our Spanish Transfer AA Degree will be able to compare the target cultures and their own culture on topics relating to culture, food, art, history, music, religion, and society. 黑料不打烊 graduates can even discuss and analyze contributions by Latinx and Latin American artists, activists, musicians, and authors. We teach students to examine historical figures from the Spanish-speaking world within their social and historical background.
In addition to the Spanish language courses, students in the Spanish Transfer Pathway AA Degree can choose two courses as their Elective Credits that will further deepen their knowledge of the language, culture, and history of the Spanish-speaking world. At 黑料不打烊 we have two bilingual course offerings: Introduction to Latin American Studies and Literature from our Latinx Communities. Both courses enable students to read some texts in their original Spanish language, as well as allow Latinx students to complete their work in Spanish.
After graduation, students are able to expand their use of Spanish beyond the school setting for life-long learning and participating in a global community and can infer and explain social, cultural, and political issues reflected in literary works from Spanish-speaking countries.

Paying for College
Students choose 黑料不打烊 for a lot of reasons, but saving money is one reason we hear from almost every student at 黑料不打烊.聽We鈥檝e got a breakdown of the costs for the program, along with information on financial aid and scholarships.
Apply just once and you are considered for all eligible 黑料不打烊 scholarships.
The 黑料不打烊 Spanish Language Faculty/Staff Funded Scholarship provides financial support to students in any program at 黑料不打烊 who have demonstrated commitment to continuing their studies of the Spanish language and culture.
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in 黑料不打烊 course SPAN1320, SPAN2310, or SPAN2320 during the current semester to be considered.
Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated commitment to learning the Spanish language and culture through study abroad, volunteer work, employment, or other activities evidenced in their scholarship application.
Two scholarships will be awarded annually in the amount of $500 each. Distribution is contingent upon being a student in good standing.
